According to this report, Toyota Motors, which already sells retrofitted safety devices, will expand its scope from the current 8 models to 12 models within the year, This means that manufacturers are expecting commercialization after next summer.
In addition, eight major companies are promoting the spread of new vehicles equipped with four safety technologies such as automatic braking and prevention of sudden start due to wrong pedaling. These vehicles account for nearly 80% of sales this fiscal year. However, it is expected to reach 90% in the next fiscal year.
