A new chapter in the media crisis is being written in Egypt, after the Media Syndicate announced its decision to stop Tamer Amin from work and inform the Public Prosecution of the violations.

The decision, which comes days after the decision of the Supreme Council of Information to stop the media Reham Said from work and stop its program and transfer it for investigation because of the violations committed.

After reviewing Law No. 93 of 2016 on the promulgation of the Law on the Syndicate of Journalists, as well as the registration schedules of the Syndicate and the record of permits, the President of the Media Syndicate found that Tamer Amin is not registered in the Syndicate's schedule and does not have a temporary permit to practice media activity.

Therefore, the President decided to prevent Tamer Amin from practicing media activity until the legalization of his status in the syndicate.

Also informing the Public Prosecution against Tamer Amin about the fact that he practiced media activity in violation of the rules of registration in the syndicate according to the law.

Tamer Amin is facing a complaint filed with the Supreme Council of Information for one of his programs, which was submitted by the National Council for Women.

According to the complaint, the Egyptian journalist was charged for his lack of decency, as well as mocking the guest and insulting her husband.
