Given the more than likely scenario of a new election in November, the right center, which was very fragmented at the last meetings with the polls, is already studying the design of a new strategy to minimize the negative effects with which the electoral law penalizes the division and lack of unity. The good results obtained by the unique candidacy of PP, UPN and Cs in Navarra, which remained a few votes to achieve the absolute majority, has led PP leaders to register new electoral marks in anticipation of reaching an agreement with Citizens address. Both parties, whose political, social and economic programs have many points in common , have already formed several municipal and regional coalition governments, which has allowed their liberal court policies to be applied already in communities such as Madrid, Andalusia, Murcia and Castilla y León. This level of tuning is a good precedent for exploring the path of pre-electoral agreements and joint candidacies that would be well seen by the electorate.

The initiative, which started from the president of the PP, Pablo Casado , and that has in its general secretary, Teodoro García Egea , one of the main defenders, yesterday received the support of Alberto Núñez Feijóo , one of the heavyweights of the party. The Galician president, during the celebration of the Harvest Fair of the orensana town of Leiro, where he coincided with former President Mariano Rajoy , said that the proposal "has all the seriousness and I hope it succeeds", although he ruled it out for his own autonomy, since in it the PP enjoys a comfortable and historical absolute majority.

In this sense, it is important to clarify that the presentation of joint candidacies does not necessarily have to take place throughout the territory, only in the constituencies (around 20) that distribute fewer seats , in which there is a strong regionalist party, as well as in the Senate (chamber in which a hypothetical application of 155 should be approved), where both formations could obtain the absolute majority. In the rest, PP and Cs should concur separately , since the main objective is to add, not harm either party. Pre-electoral agreements should not be raised with the intention of subsuming some acronyms within others. PP and Cs must retain their own political identity since, although they share a part of the electorate, each has its own voters. The aspirations to reunify the right center under a single acronym belong to the past and make no sense in the current political landscape, in which the plurality of acronyms guarantee greater voter representation.
