The original charges against Weinstein became a catalyst for the metro movement. He is alleged to have harassed and abused more than 80 women, including stars such as Angelina Jolie and Ashley Judd.
However, there are only two cases he has been charged with, one where a woman accuses him of raping her and another where another woman says he performed oral sex on her against her will.
Harvey Weinstein has denied all previous charges.
