A film set after the events narrated in the hit television series 'Breaking Bad' and focused on the character Jesse Pinkman will premiere on October 11 on the Netflix platform, as announced by that subscription streaming service on Saturday.

'The Way: A Breaking Bad Movie' ('The Way: A Breaking Bad Movie') will resume the story after Pinkman escapes, with the help of Walter White, of the brutal captivity to which he was subjected by a neo-Nazi group in the end of the series, issued in 2013.

After getting his freedom, "Jesse must accept his past to forge his future," Netflix said in a statement.

The film has been written and directed by Vince Gilligan, creator of the original series, which is considered one of the best fictions in the history of television.

'Breaking Bad' told the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) , a chemistry professor at a high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who is diagnosed with cancer.

In an attempt to leave his family an economic support for when he dies, White begins secretly preparing methamphetamine hydrochloride, an illegal drug known as 'crystal meth'.

The series lasted five seasons, broadcast by the American AMC network between 2008 and 2013.

The brief promotional clip of 'The Way' released on Saturday by the platform shows another old acquaintance of the fans of the series, Skinny Pete, telling the police that he is unaware of his friend Pinkman's whereabouts.

"In no way will I help them put Jesse Pinkman back in a cage," says Pete.
