Haneda New Flight Route Safety Confirmation with Inspection Flight From 30th of August to 26th of August 6:02

To increase the number of flights to and from Haneda Airport for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, check the safety by flying an inspection plane before the start of a new flight route that passes over the city center from March next year. Flight inspections are mainly conducted from 6 am to 8 am, and it is necessary to check whether radio facilities that guide aircraft fly correctly by flying over the city center of new routes and Kawasaki City.

From late January next year, flight tests using actual passenger aircraft are planned, and preparations are underway for the start of operation.

Concerning the new flight route, residents around the route are concerned about noise from passenger planes and parts falling from the aircraft. Opposition residents are seeking to withdraw the route.
