The UAE Publishers Association is participating in the 2019 Beijing International Book Fair, which began on 21st of April, with the presence of Emirati publishing houses under the umbrella of the Association, with the aim of presenting its publications at the exhibition and exploring opportunities to expand its work worldwide.

The association's participation in this year's edition of the exhibition, which is considered one of the most important book fairs in Asia, and the most prominent literary forums in China, as part of its strategy to enhance the effective presence of UAE publishing houses in various exhibitions and cultural events, and facilitate its entry into the world publishing markets This will contribute to the development of the book industry, enhance the status of publishing in the country, as well as more partnerships with the most important publishing houses around the world.

Through a series of meetings held at the exhibition's pavilion, members will explore opportunities to establish new partnerships, strengthen strategic cooperation with their Chinese counterparts, sign sales and purchase agreements and translate deals.

For his part, Executive Director of the UAE Publishers Association, Rashid Al-Kous, stressed the association's keenness to achieve its objectives that are consistent with the national cultural project adopted by the UAE, through the representation of UAE publishing houses in various cultural forums at the regional and global levels, and promote the fields of cultural exchange and promotion of Emirati literature .

During a meeting with representatives of a number of Chinese and international printing houses, the delegation discussed opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation between UAE publishers and their international counterparts, allowing UAE publishers to receive offers and deals for printing and publishing books.

The UAE publishing houses participating in the Beijing exhibition expressed their gratitude to the association for supporting its members, allowing them to attend and interact with various international cultural exhibitions, as well as the facilities that help them to promote the publishing industry.
