However, under the tax law, if a company makes a donation, the tax burden will not be reduced if it exceeds a certain amount, so there is a possibility that it will be cautious to donate. It has been pointed out that the issue is to be regarded as taxable.
“We have heard from Kyoto Animation that there is a tax issue in delivering donations to victims,” said Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry at the press conference on the 22nd.
After that, “No concrete story has been decided at this time, but we are closely sharing information with Kyoto Prefecture and the National Tax Agency while listening to the intentions of the company, and are examining what kind of framework is desirable.” He clarified that the government is considering tax incentives to help the bereaved family and injured people.
