Elissa published a comment after announcing her retirement yesterday, which was widely rejected by her audience and followers.
"All I can say now is that I love you from the heart, the best audience, don't forget that there is a new album coming soon," the Lebanese singer said in a comment posted on the social network Instagram.
"I am preparing for this new album with a lot of love and passion. This album will be the last of my career," Elissa said in a tweet yesterday.
"I declare it with a sad heart but with great conviction I cannot work in a field similar to the mafia."
Elissa has received tremendous support and encouragement from her artistic colleagues and followers, and letters inviting her to reverse her decision.
