Dozens of guests at a wedding in Gharbia governorate, north of Cairo, were poisoned after eating "rotten candy", the Egyptian newspaper Al-Watan reported.
According to the newspaper, wedding guests were all overwhelmed as soon as they had a "gateau".
Ambulances were called, which transported about 30 guests at the wedding ceremony in one of the famous tourist villages in the province of Gharbia.
