Iranian authorities have executed a man convicted of murdering a woman who had an affair with her.

The convicted man, who was married, killed his mistress in 2014 before cutting off her nose and ears and burning her body, the ISNA news agency reported.

He reportedly committed the crime to prove his love for his wife, who had left him after learning of his relationship with the woman victim. The man wanted to give his wife's nose and ears proof of what he had done.
According to the "Esna" that the execution was carried out last week, "Kohrdasht" in the suburb of Karaj in Tehran.
