Smash party x Robyn has been marketed as "a total experience" with "a lot of good food and drink". But for many of the around 22,000 visitors, the one-day festival, organized by Håkan Hellström's record label Woah Dad, was a disappointment.

The reason: Huge queues to buy food and drink. Many also criticize the high prices, SEK 145 for a small pizza, and on the event's Facebook page, many fans take out their frustration.

Took three hours for a pizza

Lina Schnaufer, who left Gothenburg to see Robyn, is one of many disappointed concert visitors. She says that it was difficult to plan for the evening when the organizers did not set specific playing times for the various acts. When she and a friend heard that there was plenty of food on site, they completely ignored Sonika in buying dinner in hopes of grabbing a pizza slice.

They would not have done that.

- We queued for close to three hours. Leaving sex was not an option when we were starved, which we were not alone in being. It was also not possible to leave the area and come back because it was not allowed by the organizer, she says and continues:

- We started to hear from people in front of us that the food was starting to run out. The queue system ceased and people became desperate.

"People stood packed like herring"

Lina Schnaufer, who finally got her pizza, wants to be clear that the shadow should not fall over Robyn.

- She was fantastic but the lack of organizer means that unfortunately I will not remember this evening as fun when we missed half the gig.

Another concert visitor, who wants to be anonymous, in turn found the congestion uncomfortable. She testifies to how people "stood packed like herring".

- I thought that if a fight breaks out or if someone panics out of the congestion and it "spreads" further, it could create a very dangerous situation when everyone tries to get out at the same time.

The organizer tones down - but apologizes

In a message on Facebook, Woah Dad apologizes for the long queues. At the same time, it is emphasized that the evening was largely calm without any major incidents. The organizer has also answered questions from SVT News via email:

Some queued for up to three hours without getting food and drink, how can that be?

"The game had 22,000 visitors, everyone wanted to eat and everyone wanted to eat at the same time".

Guards should have asked visitors not to sit down and eat when there were too many people in the place, do you understand that people felt worried?

“People brought rugs and blankets to sit on, which was absolutely cool during the day. Super Cozy. The absolute majority did not feel worried ”.

With the facts in hand, were you ready for so many visitors?

“The play was sold out, so yeah. According to the police and emergency services, it was a very quiet day and evening ”.

On Sunday, the upset comments continued to stream on the event's Facebook page.
