This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the official representative of the emergency committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic Nursultan Nurakhmetov.
It is specified that tremors were recorded at 02:07 Moscow time, the epicenter was located 145 km from Alma-Ata. The outbreak was at a depth of 5 km.
As Nurakhmetov pointed out, there was no information about the victims and destruction.
Earlier in Mexico, an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was recorded.
