“Igor Vsevolodovich Ignatiev died at the 69th year of his life,” TASS quotes her.
She clarified that the director died on July 16, but at the request of relatives, his death was announced only now.
Igor Ignatiev staged about 60 performances at the St. Petersburg Puppet Tale Theater, the Kirov Regional Puppet Theater, the Vologda Regional Puppet Theater, as well as at the Perm Regional Puppet Theater.
His performances received the highest theater prize of St. Petersburg "Golden Spotlights" and became laureates of the national theater prize "Golden Mask".
In late June, at the age of 76, the artistic director of the Saratov Theater of Young Spectators, Yuri Osherov, was hospitalized after falling into an orchestra pit at a rehearsal.
