“According to the information of the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past 12/08/2019, 49 forest fires on an area of 5,998 hectares were eliminated in Russia,” the agency said.
As of midnight on August 13, 159 active natural fires were recorded in Russia on an area of 266.4 thousand hectares.
Including fires in the Krasnoyarsk Territory on an area of 135.5 thousand ha, and in the Irkutsk Region - 121.6 thousand ha.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergencies reported the elimination of 63 forest fires in Russia per day.
