On the evening of the 12th, a Pakistani man who had lost his way while swimming across the Nagara River in Gifu City was found dead on the riverbed near the site on the morning of the 13th.

At around 5:00 pm on the 12th, Pakistani national Tarik Hussein (23), who lives in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture, on the Nagara River in Nagara Kotsu, Gifu City, lost his way while swimming across the river.

The search resumed on the morning of the 13th, and Mr. Hussein was found dead around 8:20 am at the bottom of the river about 6 meters deep.

According to the police, Hussein swam over to the other side with colleagues and lost his way on the way back.

The Nagara River at the site is about 70 meters wide, and many people are playing barbecue on the riverbed on holidays, so Hussein was also doing a barbecue with his friends.
