Swallows flying to Japan can see the “Negura entering” where they can rest their wings at night in Minami-ku, Okayama City.

Swallows are migratory birds that come to Japan from spring to summer in search of warm places and food.

During this time, swallows gather and rest on the river bed at night, while the chicks nest and fall south in the fall.

On the Kurashiki River in Minami-ku, Okayama City, you can see the “roosted roe” at the time when the sun is fully settled.

There are tens of thousands of swallows coming to the riverbed.

This “roost” is seen until August, and then travels to Southeast Asia such as the Philippines and Sumatra.
