Is it heat stroke? Two elderly women died in Fukushima August 9th 13:33

In the midst of intense heat, two elderly women died on the 8th in Mishima Town and Showa Village in Fukushima Prefecture. Both are considered heat stroke.

According to the fire department, at around 4:30 pm on the 8th, an 83-year-old woman was found lying down in a field in Otani, Mishima.
When the ambulance team arrived, the woman died unconsciously and then died.
A woman lives alone and works in the field every morning.

In Showa Village Shimonakatsugawa, a 94-year-old woman was found to fall in the garden at home around 5:30 pm on the 8th, and death was confirmed on the spot.
The woman was witnessed preparing for farming before 8 am.

According to the fire department, both of the two people who died are believed to have had heat stroke.

According to Fukushima Prefecture, the number of people who died on suspicion of heat stroke in this prefecture is now 7, which is significantly higher than the last two years.
Prefectures and fire departments call attention to stop outdoor farming when the heat is severe.
