About 30 years of Japanese festival painting Exhibition of Chinese painters August 8, Tokyo 19:21

An exhibition of Chinese artists who have drawn Japanese festivals for about 30 years has been held since July 8 in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.

This exhibition was held as one of the support programs of the Olympics to make Japanese festival culture widely known to foreign tourists, and on the 8th day of the first day, a tape cut was held at the opening ceremony.

At the venue, there are about 100 artworks drawn by Chinese ink-painting artist, Ms. Masumi Tsubaki, who participated in festivals throughout Japan for about 30 years.

Among them, the latest work “Sansha Festival” completed in March shows the fine expressions of each Edo kid participating in the festival.

“Tokushima Awa Odori” is a work that focuses on the strength of women, and expresses the dynamics of dancing to music and the unity of each group.

Ms. Masumi said, “I want the world to know the wonderful culture of Japanese festivals that are also related to China.”

This exhibition will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theater in Toshima Ward until the 17th of this month.
