Statistics also show a record growth in the performance of other hotel indices. Total hotel revenues rose by 17.6%. Room revenues rose by 10.7%, while the room rate rose by 10.2% compared to the same period last year.

The emirate's main tourist attractions have been very successful this year, with a 50% increase in visitors in the second quarter of this year. Hotels in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) recorded strong performance with a 73% increase during the second quarter of this year, an increase of 11.9% compared to the same period in 2018, while the number of visitors increased by 10.2%. The increase was boosted by the increase in the number of international visitors in the emirate. The number of guests from China increased by 31%, from India by 29.8% and from Saudi Arabia by 20.1%.
