In an interview with the Figaro about the movement of yellow vests, Florian Bachelier, LREM deputy of Ille-et-Vilaine and first Quaestor of the National Assembly, accuses the extreme right to play with fire: "Under many "Yellow vests", brown shirts are becoming more visible. He also denounces a "Republic of the Militia".

Florian Bachelier, LREM deputy from Ille-et-Vilaine and first Quaestor of the National Assembly, yesterday gave an interview to Figaro about the movement of yellow vests.

With the same elements of language as all his colleagues in the majority, the MP tries to demine: "We did not discover this anger on November 17. This is not new to us. In arriving at the responsibilities, we have not said enough, perhaps, the state of fracking of the French society, the 2300 billion euros of debt, the 25% of young unemployed. We have chosen instead to increase wages while reducing the tax burden, by making sure to embark the whole society in this transformation [...] The previous governments have increased taxes, this is not our case " .

"Under yellow vests, brown shirts"

On the radicalization of the movement, Florian Bachelier does not go about it in four ways: "I receive with humility anger, even if in a context of terrorist threat, the forces of the order are very mobilized. I am angry not for "yellow vests", but for the fact that pseudo-politicians - far right and not only - play with that. I think of Marine Le Pen, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan. Because under many "yellow vests", brown shirts are more and more visible. There are those who are angry, and those who use it and engender unacceptable, unbearable situations, pressures, racism, homophobia.

"Factional Militias"

He continues: "Those responsible legitimize a form of violence. We must punish all acts of violence and remarks that should not be made. I denounce a recovery by factious militias of extreme right. When the link is broken, it is the Republic of the militia. When I hear that this anger exists because we have been in charge for 18 months, it is making fun of the French. What we also pay is the emptiness of oppositions, which offer nothing. We no longer have the time for naivety or cynicism " .
