Laurent Voulzy has just left Saint-Malo. The singer spent two days on the Route du Rhum. With his wife Mirella, he supports the association Aïna and his boat, skippered by Aymeric Chappellier who is engaged in monohulls.

The Route du Rhum and the corsair city make sing the heart of Laurent Voulzy. He is the long-term godfather of the Aïna Enfance & Avenir association boat. A few hours before departure, he was on board and no one took himself seriously. The singer and the skipper Aymeric Chappelier mocked their lack of respective talents between sailing and music, the way is not the same. Laurent Voulzy even improvised a ditty.

Aïna Enfance & Avenir is more than a hand extended to orphans and young mothers of Madagascar. And that's why Laurent Voulzy and his wife Mirella were immediately committed to supporting the association and the boat that bears his name. Laurent Voulzy tells how a woman came out of one of his concerts to tell him about his project to create a center to welcome orphans in Madagascar. He immediately said yes to be a sponsor, without knowing if it would succeed.

"For ten years, we have seen these 55 orphans become teenagers," says the wife of the singer. "Our godchild has just had his baccalaureate! An unexpected path for these kids, out of the street. Same for young Malagasy, moms sometimes at 13, hosted on site. Assisted by Aïna, their children at the nursery, they learn a trade and gain their autonomy.

For all those who are in Saint-Malo, go to Aïna's stand in the village to buy creations from Madagascar. And for others, it is on their site that the adventure continues.
