The baby is healthy - after all! But on the way to the birth of her fifth child, Maria Del Carmen Venegas was taken as the father of the baby - at least temporarily. Joel Arrona-Lara, 36, was arrested by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the US Immigration Department.
Venegas Californian broadcasters reported that the pair and their two eldest children were on their way to the hospital in San Bernardino on Wednesday morning, where the pregnant woman was expected to undergo a cesarean delivery. On the way, Joel Arrona-Lara drove the car to a gas station where ICE immigration officers knocked on the windshield.
Maria Del Carmen Venegas was able to show her papers, unlike her husband, who told the policeman he had left her in a hurry at home. The couple offered to bring the ID documents with the police, but the authorities refused to intervene and took Arrona-Lara into custody. Her husband had never been in contact with the police, Venegas emphasized.

The pregnant woman then drove herself to the clinic, where the doctors expressed concern about their nervous condition before the caesarean section operation, so the transmitter Telemundo 52. Because of their elevated blood pressure values, they took the procedure in a hurry. The newborn boy showed no medical problems.
