A Chinese study of 74 children between the ages of 4 and 6 years of age reported that the children who learned to play the piano showed a greater ability to learn the language and improve the level of recognition of their vocal characters.

Where the children in the first group were taught piano lessons, the second group underwent reading training sessions, and the third group did not undergo any classification.

The group of children with piano lessons showed superiority over the other two groups in the language learning test, and the children who received reading training courses came second.

The researchers found that children who learned to play piano were better at distinguishing between different words, and also showed a better response in separating sounds, leading to a greater understanding of the lyrics and music of each character.

To test this further, the team performed electrical (EEG) for each child and found an improvement in sound processing capability.
