The Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition kicked off in Dubai at the third session of the Culture and Science Symposium under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

On the first day of the competition, the jury heard the recitations of the book of God from contestants Maryam Samih Ismail of Cameroon, Zineb Ali Hassan of Iraq, Fatima Parker of South Africa, Rawia Bint Mourad Bin Mustapha Kamal Al Hassan of Saudi Arabia, Nadaa Salem Mormangas of the Philippines, Belgium, and they all compete in the conservation and recitation of the provisions of Tajweed Hafs from Asim.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Highness the Ruler of Dubai for Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, Counselor Ibrahim Mohammed Boumelha, members of the Organizing Committee, officials and a public interested in following Quranic competitions and events.

The Chairman of the Media Unit, Organizing Committee Member Ahmed Al Zahid, delivered the address of the Organizing Committee of the Award, welcoming the contestants participating in the international competition from around the world.

He pointed out that the Dubai International Holy Quran Award always seeks to achieve outstanding figures in the field of Quranic competitions in the world, pointing out that the third session of the competition Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak will witness a great competition between the contestants who seek to achieve outstanding results in accordance with the standards adopted by the Organizing Committee.

He added that the contestants have strong voices and performance distinct according to the preliminary results of the arbitration committees, and all are trying to achieve the best results, and said that this session is widely involved, making this competition one of the largest Quranic competitions for females in the world.

Al-Zahid announced that the competition will be transferred through the award channel and Noor Dubai satellite channel.
