The Route du rhum security PC is installed in the Saint-Malo police station. Inside, about fifty specialists supervise the territory, from the Pointe du groin from Cancale to Fréhel, on land and sea.

In the PC security La Route du Rhum in Saint-Malo, offices are filled with uniform. In the middle of the corridor, a room brings together gendarmes, police, firemen, prefecture services, Sentinel forces and other security specialists. Before their eyes, the images of the ten cameras placed on the entire coastal strip and the 17 cameras of the organization of the race.

Eyes everywhere

"We have live broadcasts of four helicopters, the Pointe du Grouin and Fréhel, racing boats, Pont-Aven," list Mathieu Sarrot, the organizer. "It's 20% more images than in 2014."

At 12:30 this Sunday, the security PC counted 5,000 spectators at Pointe du Grouin. They were 6,000 to 13:30. About 3,000 curious are stationed in Meinga and about 1,000 between the two observatories.

On the roads, traffic was well supported towards Cancale and the Grouin until the time of departure but no big traffic jams. On the parking side, all the motorists played the game. On the water too, no verbalization. Boaters, stranded by the 2018 safety instructions, felt that it was not worth trying to transgress.
