The start of the Route du Rhum - Destination Guadeloupe 2018 has been given! Off the tip of the Grouin, the participants of the 11th edition of the legendary transatlantic race were released by the race management. From now on, the 123 skippers have only to cross a door off Cape Fréhel before having their hands free at the controls. According to the estimates of the race management of the Route du Rhum, the Ultimate should reach Pointe-à-Pitre in record time.
The 11th edition of the Route du Rhum is definitely launched! At 2 pm, the participants of the legendary transatlantic race alone cut the starting line off the Pointe du Grouin, east of Saint-Malo. The departure was given by the Minister of Overseas Annick Girardin.
