Since 1997, Jörg Bong has been with S. Fischer Verlag, since 2012 in the position of Publishing Managing Director. On May 31, he announces his departure. Bong, who also succeeded under the pseudonym Jean-Luc Bannalec as a crime novelist, wants to devote himself to the letter according to the press release.

His successor will be Siv Bublitz on 1 June, who has been Managing Director Program and Strategy at S. Fischer since 2017.

Bong studied German Philology at the University of Bonn and in Frankfurt am Main. Here he was also a research assistant at the literary scholar Silvia Bovenschen. Later Bong supervised the Frankfurt poetics lectures.

His responsibilities at S. Fischer include, among others, the founding of the series "Fischer Klassik", "Fischer Geschichte" and "Fischer Jugendbuch".

As Jean-Luc Bannalec Jörg Bong reached an audience of millions, the seven thrillers to the Breton Commissioner Dupin were bestsellers. Six of them were filmed by the ARD.
