In "Psychologies magazine", Marc Lavoine has decided to confide in a subject that comes up regularly in his songs and in his books: death. Since the death of his mother, in 2011, the artist claims to be in "a very great depression."

The artist has decided to confide in death, a recurring subject in his songs but also in his books, explains Télé-Loisirs .

"Abandonment never abandons us"

"I'm not doing very well, you know," says Marc Lavoine. The singer suffers from lypémanie, a form of major depression that generates an advanced melancholic state. His mother, who died in 2011, was suffering too. "I feel responsible for not saving her when she was in bed at the end of her life," he says.

"I had the sensation of giving it up. Yet she asked me to leave. This separation will last all my life. Abandonment never leaves us , " adds Marc Lavoine, before explaining that it can " plunge him into a very, very big depression . "
