On Monday, October 1, the French musician, actor and writer Charles Aznavour died on the 95th year of his life. He was born in Paris to a family of ethnic Armenians on May 22, 1924. On the stage, Aznavour came out at the age of nine, and three years later first appeared in a movie. His filmography includes more than 60 paintings. However, the world public Charles Aznavour is better known as the chansonnier: he became the author of about 1300 songs, some of which he performed himself, and some handed to such eminent performers as Bob Dylan, Ray Charles and Julio Iglesias. On December 26, 2008 Aznavour received Armenian citizenship. In his autobiography, the legendary singer wrote that he was not afraid of death, but he would have lived another thousand years out of curiosity - to find out how the world will change.
