In Neustadt an der Donau, a 64-year-old man died in a tragic accident. He had driven to the morning along with his partner to the Danube at Kelheim, according to police. There he parked his car on a path leading into the water.
For still unexplained reasons, the car then got rolling. To stop it, the 64-year-old faced it. He was overwhelmed by the car and trapped under water.
Passers-by hurrying to help could free him after several minutes; the revival remained unsuccessful. The man from the district of Freising died at the scene of the accident.
