The various municipalities have the right to put restrictions on the movement of trucks, because they need to be continuously maintained on the roads used by these trucks, in one way or another because of the deterioration of roads and asphalt due to their load.

There is no dispute about this, but with some observations, the first is that these policies or fees do not directly harm citizens who wish to build their residential units. Most of the truckloads from mountainous regions pass through Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Sharjah. In the UAE, raising the fees for the transit of trucks, the owners of transport companies have borne this cost to the end consumer in a clear and direct, and this is a normal situation, so the final victim is the citizen and not the merchant or the owner of the transport company!

We are not against charging trucks, I say it for the second time, but it is also unusual for them to raise fees from 120 dirham to 420 dirhams per crossing. It is not normal for every one of the three Emirates to put a special gate on them. Sometimes, if the cargo destination encounters these gates, the cost of the shipment of stones, for example, is 500 dirhams, while the cost of transit is up to 1260 dirhams!

Of course, these municipalities and the authorities have the right to receive money to maintain the roads, but not to overestimate their maintenance. Some of these roads are a few kilometers before entering the road in a second emirate. Expected maintenance.

These measures undoubtedly have a negative effect on the transport sector and in the movement of goods, especially raw materials, such as stones and others, which are certainly materials that citizens need, and therefore they are most affected, because they will bear all this cost directly!

This is not a final conclusion, but a series of complaints I have received recently, all of which are in this direction, so the stakeholders in the three emirates should sit down to discuss this issue and should think about it from all angles, rather than working individually and separately from others. It is very natural that trucks pass through a number of Emirates before they reach their final destination, and it is natural that they meet to determine the mechanism and the cost of the crossing in full, not in part, so there is supposed to be one amount paid by passers-by, How to divide this amount as you see fit A!

This is the normal situation. The current situation is totally unnatural, especially since the payment is now in the old traditional way, the direct cash payment at the gate, and the balance is received at the same place. This means additional delay in traffic and amounts to be borne by each truck driver In every move and every trip!
