After an unscheduled stopover due to a bomb threat, 273 passengers arrived in Düsseldorf one day late. The Condor plane, which originally came from the Egyptian Hurghada, landed around 9:30 pm on Friday in North Rhine-Westphalia, as a spokesman for the airline said. The police had interviewed two of the passengers in Dusseldorf. Details did not mention the speaker.

The aircraft had landed unscheduled on the Greek island of Crete, after an incident on the way from Hurghada to Dusseldorf on the early Thursday evening. According to information from "Bild" and the Greek media, during the flight in the toilet, a smear with a bomb threat was discovered. Then the pilots landed the machine at short notice in the city of Chania in Crete.

According to Condor, the passengers were accommodated in three- and four-star hotels after about two hours of questioning by the police. On Friday afternoon they were taken to lunch and then back to the airport. The machine was searched with tracking dogs. They did not find anything suspicious.

Via Twitter, passengers complained about the long stay at the airport and unfriendly treatment. Condor said that the airline had no influence on it. These are police measures taken by the Greek authorities. Compensation is also out of the question according to the valid European directives.
