Scientists from the University of Granada in Spain have discovered individuals who are lying to the point of diminishing temperature, unlike Matroj's Pinocchio, which shows that the nose grows longer when lying.

Based on these findings, the team developed a lie detector test that monitors the temperature of the face to detect whether a person is giving a false statement.

The team claims that the test is "the most reliable in the world", with a 10% higher accuracy than the commonly used lie detector.

In this study, the team used thermal imaging on 60 students while completing a number of tasks, including making a phone call, and they had to tell a big lie friend.

In the meantime, I saw a group watching painful videos of car accidents, which they had to explain to someone over the phone.

Thermal images revealed that when a participant lied, the head of his nose dropped to 1.2 ° C, while his forehead temperature rose to 1.5 ° C.

The greater the difference between these two temperatures, the more likely a person is a liar.

Dr Emilio Gomez Milan, who led the study, said: "Surprisingly, this change in temperature actually causes a contraction of the nose, although researchers find that the change is not visible to the naked eye.
