In Australia, a 102-year-old has to face trial for alleged assault on a 92-year-old woman in a retirement home. The man was arrested on Tuesday in the suburb of Sydney for allegations of severe sexual assault in the care facility, the police said.
The incident is said to have occurred at lunch time at mealtime. The police were said to have called to the nursing home, where they arrested the alleged perpetrators accordingly. The man was released on a court hearing on 20 November against payment of a security deposit.
In the case of a conviction, he is threatened by police up to seven years in prison.
