"Twitter" delete about 10 thousand accounts before the US elections

Twitter has deleted more than 10,000 automated accounts that publish non-voting messages in the midterm congressional elections on Tuesday.

The phantom calculations seemed like Democrats after the party marked the misleading tweets of the social networking company.

"We have taken action on the accounts involved and activity on Twitter," Twitter spokesman Ian Blunkett said.

The accounts were deleted in late September and early October.
