[HIGHLIGHTS] Zhejiang University established a major in archaeology and began enrolling students this year

In 1978, Zhejiang University prepared to establish a major in cultural relics and museology. In 2008, the university's first-level doctoral program in archaeology was approved by the Ministry of Education.

The planned courses include Paleolithic Archaeology, Neolithic Archaeological, Xia Shangzhou Archaeology. The archaeology of the Yangtze River Basin, cave temple archaeology, scientific and technological archaeology and world archaeology will be the focus of efforts, according to the university.
