Zelensky proposed to the Rada to extend martial law and mobilization in Ukraine. According to the Constitution of Ukraine, voting cannot be organized during martial law.
The new extension will legally exclude the possibility of holding presidential elections in Ukraine in the spring. Earlier it was reported that former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is afraid of a possible confrontation between Ukrainians due to increased mobilization. Before this, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, said that a new mobilization was necessary.
