The man arranged to meet two young women in a toilet at Väven in Umeå. The women are both over 15 years old, but under 18 years old.
The day after the alleged rape, the women told an adult about what had happened. That person reported the incident to the police. Now the man is being detained on suspicion of rape and several sexual offences. He is suspected of buying sexual services, sexual assault, contact to meet a child for sexual purposes, sexual molestation and rape.
