The whale had swum all the way to Hunnebostrand where it seemed to be stuck in a tamp. "It didn't have a lot of drive in it and had one tap in its mouth and the other over its head," says Hjalmar Sporrong.

Sotenäs has been visited by odd species before; In early spring last year, a walrus swam into Smögen where it rested. It was later killed in Norway because it had become aggressive towards humans.
