Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he seeks to maintain his position on abandoning anti-Russian sanctions, despite pressure from the West. He recalled that with the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, the Serbian authorities decided to condemn it, but not to impose sanctions against Russia.

“I said this then because we know from ourselves what it feels like when sanctions are imposed on you. We have a friendly people, and it would be unfair to do this to the Russian people,” he said.
