He recalled that with the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, the Serbian authorities decided to condemn it, but not to impose sanctions against Russia.

“I said this then because we know from ourselves what it feels like when sanctions are imposed on you. We have a friendly people, and it would be unfair to do this to the Russian people,” Vucic said in an interview with TASS.

Earlier, he noted that Serbia’s refusal to impose sanctions against Russia strengthened the country’s international reputation.

The President added that the country is experiencing growing pressure from the West on this issue.
