Volodin: deputies consider it necessary to deprive foreign agents of sources of income in Russia. There are currently 569 foreign agents operating in the country, the Russian Ministry of Justice noted.
The State Duma is currently discussing a bill that would prohibit citizens and companies from placing advertisements on the websites of foreign agents and on their social networks. For those who violate the ban, ‘strict penalties’ would be provided, Volodin said. The bill is currently being discussed in the lower house of parliament.
