Vienna praises Doha's efforts to release an Austrian citizen in Afghanistan. Austrian advisor to the Prime Minister of Austria, Karl Nehammer, appreciated the step and expressed his thanks to Qatar.
The Qatari Foreign Ministry said that the Austrian citizen, who was released through Qatari mediation, had arrived in Doha in preparation for his transfer to his final destination. In turn, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed the State of Qatar’s thanks to the Afghan caretaker government.
