Intelligence services note the emergence of a new generation of jihadists, sometimes very young. Last year alone, 15 minors were indicted for acts of terrorism, as many as in the last four years.

These young people rely in particular on a perfect mastery of digital tools. Half of the Islamists implicated in attacks foiled since 2021 are under 20 years old. They do not seek to show allegiance to Daesh or Al-Qaeda, but take up community themes according to which the French state is Islamophobic.
