Five Israelis were injured, one seriously, in a vehicular accident on Monday at the popular Mahane Yehuda market in West Jerusalem. Israeli police confirmed the death of the perpetrator of the vehicular attack, a Palestinian from Beit Safafa, while Israel's Channel 12 reported that the perpetrator was shot dead by an armed man who happened to pass by.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack, which he described as an attempt to kill Israeli citizens. Palestinian factions considered that the attack comes in response to Israeli crimes against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinians.
