US pressure on Turkey over trade with Russia undermines energy security. This was stated by the chairman of the Turkish VATAN (Homeland) party Dogu Perincek.
He said Türkiye is an important bridge for the delivery of Russian energy resources. He also said that due to payment problems with Russia, Turkey may experience a shortage of foreign currency. He added that Turkey's submission to US pressure undermines the trust of Turkey’s neighbors, especially Russia, on which our energy security depends.
