US passenger plane heading to Kansai Airport makes emergency landing after wheel falls off just after takeoff. The plane landed quickly at a Los Angeles airport, with no injuries to passengers or crew.
According to United Airlines, the aircraft is a Boeing 777 with six tires on each side of the center of the aircraft, designed to allow for a safe landing even when there are insufficient tires.
