The reason for initiating the case was allegedly a post on social networks in which a man justified a terrorist attack against military correspondent Maxim Fomin. On February 20, a Los Angeles resident with Russian and US citizenship was arrested in Yekaterinburg on charges of treason in the form of raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The FSB showed a video of the arrest.
