TASS reports this with reference to the court.

It is clarified that we are talking about PR man and activist Yaroslav Shirshikov.

“To impose a sentence of two years of imprisonment in a general regime colony,” the court said.

In June 2023, it became known that a case had been opened against Shirshikov for justifying terrorism.

The reason for initiating the case was allegedly a post on social networks in which a man justified a terrorist attack against military correspondent Maxim Fomin, known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky.

On February 20, a Los Angeles resident with Russian and US citizenship was arrested in Yekaterinburg on charges of treason in the form of raising funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The FSB showed a video of the arrest.
